Kipling Garages plans to go forward to Council

Following on from the last very successful consultation event on 16th June 2015, the Leathermarket CBS are proud to announce that they will be submitting the design for planning approval by Southwark Council.

The plans consist of 27 new genuinely affordable homes on the former Garage site on the Kipling Estate. The homes are designed in accordance with lifetime homes, London housing design guide and will be compliant with code for sustainable homes 4. Importantly, they will embody permanence, be low maintenance and low cost for residents to run.

The submission of this planning application, which has been through a genuinely collaborative design approach,  is something the community, Council and professional team can be truly proud of. This project represent a new way of approaching community-led development and the deliver of genuinely affordable housing.

A link will be available shortly to Southwark Council’s planning register where the full planning application can be viewed.
